‘Super Mario Odyssey’ (Nintendo Switch)
Since the release of the Switch, fans have been ardently waiting for the Mario game that was teased back during the system’s announcement. Following E3 this year, Nintendo has finally shared its release date and it will arrive in stores this October 27.
This title is an unconventional game in the series that still follows Mario on his quest to save Peach from her wedding with Bowser. You’ll get to explore various worlds using your cap-like ship and collect stars along the way. Mario’s hat plays a major role here as you’ll be able to perform plenty of tricks and even “capture” objects, people, and enemies. With so much content to look forward to, there’s no surprise why “Super Mario Odyssey” is one of the most anticipated games for this year.
‘Uncharted: The Lost Legacy’ (PS4)
Nathan Drake’s exploits might have finally come to an end, but the series still has one last adventure for their fans. This spin-off takes place after the fourth game and follows Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross on their journey to find the Tusk of Ganesha. While the game won’t be as long as a traditional “Uncharted” title, it will contain just as much action and drama.
Players will only control Chloe who has her own fighting style and isn’t as “brawny” as Nate. Similarly, the game has some stealth aspects to it as she can equip silent weapons or kill enemies from a distance. Join the girls on one last adventure in “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy” which launches this August 22 on the PS4.
‘Metroid: Samus Returns’ (3DS)
After a long hiatus, the Metroid series finally returns to both the Nintendo Switch and 3DS. While details have been scarce about the former title, Nintendo has been dishing out new info regarding “Metroid: Samus Returns.” This title is essentially a remake of the 1991 Game Boy game that contains plenty of new features and mechanics, yet contains the series’ classic charm. Here, you’ll play as Samus who travels to the planet SR388 to exterminate the parasitic creatures known as Metroids. “Metroid: Samus Returns” arrives on the 3DS this September 15 on the 3DS. #Second Half
