What is the Pokemon Go Easter Event?

Fans of the game were sent into a frenzy by the news that an Easter event – Eggstravaganza – is being held from April 13, 2017 at 9pm until April 20, 2017 at 9pm BST.

Trainers will be able to find more Pokemon from 2 km Eggs (which require you to walk for 2km to hatch them).

Excitingly these eggs could give players the chance to hatch rare Pokemon – such as a Lapras or Snorlax.

Trainers will also earn more Candy for every Pokemon hatched from an Egg.

Players will also level up faster and gain double XP for every action they take.

Lucky Eggs will also be 50 per cent the in-game shop, meaning players can earn four times the XP they normally would when using a Lucky Egg.

What new Pokemon Go features could be announced?

Again as nothing has been confirmed, there is only speculation as to what new Pokemon Go features could be announced.

But it has been reported that the event will give players an increased chance of hatching rare Pokemon such as Snorlax and Lapras while walking eggs thanks to double XP.

What is Pokemon Go?

Ever seen people out and about wafting their mobile phones around in the air?

Then chances are they might have been playing Pokemon Go on their smartphones.

The Japanese craze, which translates as pocket monsters, was first a trading card game before being developed by Nintendo as a video game and also spawned cartoons and a movie.

Pokemon Go is an online app that is an augmented reality game where players try to find and catch Pokemon characters in their real world surroundings.

The Pokemon Go website says: “As you move around, your smartphone will vibrate to let you know you’re near a Pokémon.

“Once you’ve encountered a Pokémon, take aim on your smartphone or Apple Watch’s touch screen and throw a Poké Ball to catch it. Be careful when you try to catch it, or it might run away!”

It’s great to see Niantic keeping up with the game, Most Indie companies would of have moved on by now but not them. With the Crazy Urge to catch Pokemon, we can see this App game pass the Test of Time. Pokemon Go: Easter Event 2017 what Awaits?
